AMERICA’S CRISIS
The domino effect sets in. Where are we headed?
Shlomo Maital said in his September 1st article in Jerusalem Report, "World economics is like a tower of dominoes. The world is a complex interdependent global economy. When one country gets into hot water, other countries are burned just like those domino displays, where one domino topples another."
Asia was in economic crisis just ten years ago. Their demand for oil declined. That hurt oil exporter, Russia, who defaulted on her debts in 1998. This, in turn, put Brazil and Argentina in crisis. When investors saw Russia crumble, they pulled their money out of all of these countries.
On March 9, 2000, the "dot.com" bubble burst. Stocks plummeted. The NASDAQ stock index, comprised of high-tech stocks, including over 100 Israel companies, quickly lost 3/4 of their value.
Financial crisis in business always become economic crisis for the consumer. We must look beyond our own problem and note that there is a global slowdown which includes Israel.
There was an unprecedented abundance of capital in China and other Asian countries as they profited from our purchases and pushed money around the world. Euphoria overcame reason. Investors ignored risks. People came to believe that the more they borrowed, the better and faster their affluent dreams would be fulfilled.
But risk never evaporates. It simply hides under the cloak of prosperity and bides its time, then bludgeons its victims when they are least prepared.
Americans have lived beyond their means for two decades. The government now owes $9 trillion. The interest on that debt is four times America’s total education budget. Printing more money only makes the hole deeper.
When U.S. consumers began to live within their means, they shut down the profit machine. Crisis was inevitable. In June 2007, investors noticed the bubble, and began bailing out of high-risk investments, such as mortgages owned by those who could not afford to pay them. The avalanche soon followed.
America is the last domino to fall. Because it is the world’s largest economy, this current crisis is the most serious of all. It is shaping up to be the worst since the Great Depression of the 30’s. If America topples, so will the economy of most of the world, including Israel’s.
The market became a fragile bubble when housing prices rose so high that they lost touch with reality. It was obvious that the greed factor had taken over. One bank collapses, panic sets in, fueling the toppling of others. Greed soon turns to fear. In America, that fear is spreading among many. Hence, the bailouts of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. There was no choice. Allowing banks to fail would cause financial collapse all over the world.
China refuses to loan more money
On September 25, 2008, Glen Beck reported on CNN that China announced it refuses to carry more U.S. debt and will no longer loan money to the U.S. China has bought and is currently carrying billions of current U.S. debt. If the communist government demands immediate payback, America could possibly become the property of China.
Are we are at a "tipping point?" Will it will get worse before it gets better?
How This affects Israel
Israel exports $10 b. in goods and services to America annually. Those are in danger. Israel depends on America for foreign investment; that is now declining. Partly as a result, Israel’s stock market has fallen by 23 percent since January 1. As the dollar drops, the shekel gets stronger, and that hurts Israel’s ability to export. Many Israeli institutions depend on American philanthropy. That will decline.
Tel Aviv is the most expensive city in the Middle East, and the 14th most expensive city in the world, with a higher cost of living than New York City. A survey conducted by Mercer, a human resources consulting firm, has ranked 143 cities by cost of living. Tel Aviv was given a cost index of 105, 5 points higher than the New York base line of 100.
The average Israeli monthly salary was $2,250 in May, according the Central Bureau of Statistics.
The U.S. and the North American Union
If the reports hold true that Canada, the U.S. and Mexico are to merge in 2010 or soon after, then it is reasonable to assume that the dollar may be permitted to crash in order that the monetary value of the three countries can be floated to a single value before the introduction of the new money called the "Amero."
We hope the great mound of reports coming to my desk about the forming of the NAU are not true. However, if they are true, it appears that we are facing massive changes in our great nation as North America is sucked into the vortex of globalism’s "one-world government."
Only 2 of the world’s governments have consistently resisted joining the one-world government fad, The United States and Israel. If, indeed, the U.S. is finally caving in to the pressure of globalism, Israel will soon be standing more alone than ever.
The Effect felt in UK
The United Kingdom’s budget deficit is soon to breach European Union member guidelines. "The UK’s budgetary position has deteriorated over the past year, and is expected to rise above the 3% of GDP reference value in the financial year ending March 2009," said Joaquin Almunia, EU commissioner for economic and monetary affairs. "The commission has therefore initiated the excessive deficit procedure."
Under EU rules, Brussels is required to monitor member states to ensure they do not run excessive deficits—defined as being in excess of 3% of GDP. If a country breaches that level, the "excessive deficit procedure" can be invoked.
No EU nation is permitted to operate independently of the EU. This may seem relatively insignificant, it, however, warns of strong consequences for an EU nation to act sovereignly with its own finances.
Where is this Headed?
A global government is necessary for the rule of the coming Antichrist . There are 2 important events that must come to pass before the seven years of the Tribulation can begin. 1. The Catching Up (Rapture) of the Redeemed, "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass and to stand before the Son of man" (Lk. 21:36), 2. The forming of a federation of 10 kingdoms. (see Dan. 7:7-8, 23-24). France’s Sarkozy has entered legislation in the EU calling for the forming of such a new organization. Daniel 7:8 and 24 make it clear that the "little horn" (Antichrist) appears on the world scene after the 10 kings have formed .
Daniel 8:23 presents the amazing order of events as they will take place in the near future:
"And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up."
The 10 Kingdom Federation will form shortly before the beginning of the Tribulation. The prophet Daniel prophesies that as soon as it forms, it will already be "in the latter time of their kingdom." Considering the fact that the Tribulation lasts only 7 years total, we can see that this organization will have a very short life-span, hence, the wording of the text is understandable.
The wording, " when the transgressors are come to the full" exposes an astounding truth. The statement intimates the total absence of righteous mankind. This has already happened twice in human history: 1. After Noah and his family were separated from the world of transgressors by being secured inside the Ark, God shut the door. At that moment, the outside world was 100% transgressors. God’s terminal justice followed immediately. 2. After Lot and his immediate family were safely taken up the mountain by angel escort, and were safely out of harm’s way, the remaining population of Sodom and Gomorrah was comprised of 100% transgressors. God immediately unleashed His judgment upon the transgressors, destroying them.
The wording in the Daniel 8:23 text indicates the total absence of righteous people. The soon coming of Messiah Yeshua for His blood-bought, born-again believers will cause their instant disappearance from Earth as He takes them up to Heaven. When this historic, prophecy-fulfilling event takes place, only then will the "transgressors come to the full." AMAZING! We are looking at the Rapture of the Redeemed shown in an Old Testament scripture!
As horribly wicked as this world is, we cannot rightfully say that it is totally evil. Why? Because the born-again, sanctified believers are still here! Daniel 8:23 reveals even more eye-brow-raising truth. Notice that immediately after the disappearance of the righteous, THEN: "a king of fierce countenance" stands up. Who is he? He is clearly not a righteous man because he is described as "fierce," and understanding "dark sentences." He is the Little Horn of Daniel 7:8; 8:9-12, and the 11th king of Daniel 7:24-25. All of these prophecies speak of the coming Antichrist, ("anti" means against, opposite of Messiah), Satan’s chosen, final dictator.
Daniel 8:23 states that Antichrist will "understand dark sentences" indicating that he will be a Satanist, with a thorough familiarity of the ways of demons.
Highly significant wording closes out the verse. This king of fierce countenance "...shall STAND UP."
In the holy world of the Jewish priesthood, it is noteworthy that Jewish priests officiating in the Temple service were never permitted to sit during the hours of their service. It fact, no chair was included in the Temple furniture. Why? Because to sit down while at the job-site is symbolic, and sends the message that the work is finished. But, the work of the Temple was symbolic, not a finished work.
Only Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) performed the finished work of redemption by shedding His innocent and pure blood (Lev. 17:11; 1 Jn. 1:7), dying and resurrecting from the dead. After He gave Himself as the ransom for mankind, the heavenly Father welcomed His return to the heavenly throne He had left 33 1/2 years before. Messiah Jesus SAT DOWN beside the Majesty on high. He alone had the right to say, "IT IS FINISHED! " (Heb. 1:2-3).
On the opposite end of the spectrum, Satan’s ultimate man-of-the-hour, Antichrist, cannot "stand up" to begin his evil, end-time agenda until the righteous are removed from the scene and the world is entirely filled with transgressors.
The opening scene of the Tribulation in Revelation 6:1-2 shows Messiah, the Lamb of God, in Heaven commanding one of His angels to order Antichrist, the man down on Earth sitting on a white Horse, to "Come!" AMAZING! Antichrist must wait nervously and helplessly, for the King of Kings to give him permission to launch his program of evil. Messiah’s command is like the starting gun of an important race. Satan, and his protagonist, Antichrist are powerless to do anything until the great Savior gives the signal for the epic contest between evil and good to begin. Only then can the Tribulation begin.
With all of the born-again Jews and Gentiles glorified, and safely nestled in Heaven, Satan will then turn his all of his attention toward persecuting God’s Chosen people, the Jews. It saddens me deeply to report that during the 7 years of the 70th Week (the Tribulation), fully 2/3 of the world’s Jews will be slaughtered through Antichrist’s massive hate propaganda program (Ezek. 20:37-38; 22:19-22; Zech. 13:8-9). This is too unthinkable to contemplate. Haven’t our Jewish people suffered enough death and deprivation through the centuries? This century’s old warfare has been fueled by: 1. Satan’s efforts to thwart God’s plan which prophesies the Jews to be a blessing to the entire world, 2. Satan’s followers who blindly follow his evil influences, 3. the backslidden state that many Jews are living in today brings chastisement.
Only those Jews who refuse to turn their hearts wholly to the Lord God of Israel, but instead, choose to remain rebellious against His moral and Biblical standard will be permitted to die in the future Tribulation persecutions under Antichrist and his duped and blinded followers.
The same will happen to the Gentiles. Over 2/3 of the Gentiles will also die in the judgments which God will pour out upon the wicked during that 7 year period. These percentages show that the Creator has made an end of waiting to deal punitive judgment upon sinful mankind. The 70th Week of Daniel’s prophecy will see massive death as God takes historic steps in restoring righteousness to Earth.
I urge you, my dear reader, to surrender your heart and life to Yeshua the Savior of both Jews and Gentiles alike. Please write me if you have given your heart to the Lord today. I will be honored to pray for you and encourage you in your new walk with Messiah.
Please pray earnestly for the light of the whole council of God to shine upon all of our Jewish people everywhere so they will see that Yeshua is indeed our promised Messiah, and pray for the peace of Jerusalem "Sha’alu shalom Yerushalayim."
