WHY RUSSIA CAUSED THE 1967 WAR
Two Israeli authors are publishing the claim that the Soviet Union deliberately engineered the Six Day War. This shocking revelation accuses the Soviet Union of creating the pre-war conditions by manipulating the Arab-block nations to build up massive forces at the Israel border to annihilate the Jews and the Jewish State.
The underlying purpose behind this plot was even more sinister. The Soviets were hoping that the massive numbers of Arab forces pressing against Israel’s borders would force Israel to launch a pre-emptive strike against the multi-national Arab forces which swarmed the Israeli borders on the North, East, and South. The Soviets created the conflict by using lies and disinformation about Israeli troop movements.
What was the reason for this daring Soviet strategy? What did they hope to gain? The Russians had received information about Israel’s progress toward nuclear arms. They built this elaborate scheme with the hope that Israel would be forced to counterstrike to preserve her life in the face of massive enemy forces which were seizing on the opportunity to totally destroy the Jews while they had Soviet assistance backing them up.
Soviets and Egyptians Planned to bomb Dimona
The Soviet thinking planned a joint Egyptian-Soviet bombing of the Israeli reactor at Dimona. Included in this daring plan was a joint naval landing on Israel’s beaches with a 30-man detachment into Haifa port to secure Israel’s naval command headquarters. The authors, Gideon Remez and Isabella Ginor wrote “Foxbats Over Dimona: the Soviet’s Nuclear Gamble in the Six-Day War,” say the Soviets flew sorties over Dimona shortly before the Six Day War started. Their thinking was to show their involvement in the impending battle, and thus pressure Israel to launch the war with a pre-emptive strike of their own. They could then brand Israel as an aggressor for its preemption. The Arabs could use it as justification to launch the war with a joint Arab-Soviet “counter-attack.” In addition, the visible Soviet air presence was also intended to ensure the nuclear target could be effectively destroyed. Soviet nuclear-missile submarines were said to have been poised off Israel’s shore. Soviet Foreign Ministry official Oleg Grinevsky said that the Israel victory “saved Dimona from annihilation.”

The joint Soviet-Arab plot failed
The enemy did not expect the explosive, overwhelming power exhibited by the Israelis with such pin-point accuracy. They certainly did not expect the God of Israel assisting the Jews in every move. And they did not expect the jaw-dropping success of the Israeli forces.Rather than weakening world opinion, the Israelis received overwhelming international legitimacy and approval. The Israel pre-emptive strike in the face of what appeared to be certain death for the nation and its Jewish citizenry, was seen to be necessary and sheer genius. It was clear to the general audience that God was with the Jews throughout the conflict.
The Soviet plan was a failure. Its desire to remake the Middle East to its advantage fell with the utter defeat of every Muslim military force.
Within 45 minutes from the beginning of the fighting, The tiny Israeli force had pushed the multi-national Arab armies to within sight of Amman, Jordan. A similar sight was seen on the Northern border with Syria. The Syrians were pushed back to Damascus in a matter of hours. The southern border with Egypt was more formidable, but, the Arabs crumbled there also.
A massive armoured column of Egyptian military broke the Israeli lines at one point, and, 25,000 to 28,000 strong, they proceed north, heading for Jerusalem. The Israel Defense Force Commander, General Moshe Dayan, watched helplessly. Suddenly, the column stopped. All of the soldiers dropped their weapons, kicked off their shoes, deserted their tanks and gun-mounted trucks, and ran screaming back toward Egypt.
General Dayan quickly rose up and called every available Israeli citizen in the area to “Come out of your houses! Capture those Egyptians! God has given them into our hands!” They were easily rounded up and placed in a hastily prepared P.O.W. camp.
When interrogated, each gave the same reply when asked, “What made you so frightened that you dropped your weapons and ran away?” They answered, “There suddenly appeared before us one million soldiers. Each one stood 8 feet tall, and were dressed in pure white robes. Each carried a sword in one hand and a shield in the other. They stood in silence. We were filled with fear and ran from them.”

Pakistan Regime Change
May Come Soon
The judge became a symbol against Musharraf’s dictatorial tactics. Outrage is spreading. Pakistanis are now talking openly about ousting Musharraf, said James Rupert in Newsday. The general has faced several challenges to his leadership during his regime. Almost everyone believes he orchestrated the Karachi violence, including a break into the home of a top Chaundhry aid and murdered him.
The West won’t let Pakistan implode. Islamic extremists might take control of the country—and its nuclear weapons. Another general will likely be assigned the presidency. A replacement is likely chosen.Y
Russia Gets New
Gas Pipeline Deal
American officials pushed hard for an alternate pipeline route that would bypass Russia by going underneath the Caspian Sea. They said they were disappointed that the Central Asians had given Russia control over so much natural gas.
If the pipeline is built, “that would not be good for Europe,” said U.S. Energy Secretary Sam Bodman. “It would fly in the face of what is needed, which is the diversity of suppliers.”
Russia has shut off the gas supply to those who do not comply with her demands, and has tripled the price to some countries. If the pipeline is completed, we can expect more bullying tactics to come from the Russian government.

Arafat took another terrorist organization into his newly renamed Palestinian Authority back in 1995, called Hamas. I predicted that Hamas would take control when Arafat dies. They did. Arafat had 500 leaders of terror groups on his board, including Hezballah. Now, some of these groups are fighting each other for control of the Palestinian Authority. These are all headquartered in the Gaza Strip, which has become a training ground for terrorism.
Hamas gunmen attacked a unit of Mahmoud Abbas’ presidential guards, killing at least eight. More than 10 more, mostly Fatah members, were killed in other clashes. Both groups formed a unity government 2 months ago, but continue to fight for control. Interior Minister Hani al-Qawasmi resigned in protest over the lack of means to stop the in-fighting.
It is clear that the demon spirit that controlled the early Canaanites still rests upon their descendents who presently reside in former Canaanite territories.
God honored the curse that Noah pronounced upon Canaan. Note what was said in Genesis 9:22-27. God said that Ishmael and his descendants would be “a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren” (Gen. 16:11-12).
The Hebrew word “pereh” is used for the word wild. It means “running wild.” It refers to the nature of the man, Ishmael. The remaining 10 times it is used in scripture, it speaks of animals (Job 6:5; 11:12; 24:5; 39:5; Ps. 104:11; Isa. 32:14; Jer. 2:24; 14:6; Hos. 8:9).
How true the Word of God is. Daily, we can see the wild, uncontrollable, unreasonable rage that possesses the sons of Ishmael. In the future, they will be servants to others. This requires a change in their present nature. Such a change can only be when one has experienced a personal encounter with the true Messiah, Jesus Christ.

Speaks out about
Turkey and Muslims
No other European leader has been so unambiguous in opposing Turkey’s candidacy for E.U. membership. It’s plain that Sarkozy sees Muslims as fundamentally un-European. He has criticized his country’s own Muslim citizens for failing to assimilate, saying, in essence, “Whoever doesn’t love France can leave it.”
Watch this develop. If Turkey’s entry into the E.U. is finally rejected, we can expect the formation of a Near and Middle East body of nations. This could become a catalyst that forms the 10 Kingdoms as prophesied in Daniel 7:7, 8 and 24. The time is right for this fulfillment of Bible prophecy. What is not clear is exactly where this new alliance will center itself in the territories of the old Roman Empire.
The Bungling
Fort Dix Six
What is most alarming about the Fort Dix Six is who they were. These were not glowering radicals fresh from some foreign al-Qaida training camp. These were ethnic Albanians from New Jersey. Three of them were U.S. citizens. Even if racial profiling were allowed, these terrorists could have slipped through the cracks.
Most worrying—they were independent, operating their own private jihad. Their brainwashing came from “al Qaidaism,” a current worldview, transmitted by Internet, or phone, or by person, that turns Muslims into “lone-wolf jihadists.”
The clerk saw the danger, and turned them in. How many lives he saved is beyond knowing. Vigilance will be important in the days ahead.
Super-duper supernova
Astronomers are astounded by the discover of an exploding star 100 times more powerful than any supernova ever recorded. The explosion was so bright it outshines the rest of its galaxy, says The Washington Post. It is 240 million light-years from earth. This is a challenge to existing understanding of how stars die. At least 100 times the size of our sun, this star is not dying in the usual way, by collapsing inward, leaving behind a black hole or a cold, dense remnant called a neutron star. But this star detonated like a massive hydrogen bomb, spewing so much energy and matter that astronomers have been watching the star explode continuously since last year. Astronomer Mario Livio said, “...we may be seeing a new type of explosion mechanism, never seen before.”Eta Carinae, one star in our galaxy, is approaching the end of its own life. If it were to explode in the same way as the more distant supernova, the explosion could be “the best star show in the history of civilization,” Livio said. It would be one tenth as bright as a full moon, and would light up the night sky for months.
During the Tribulation, the sun, moon and stars will be affected in record-breaking ways 5 times: (Rev. 6:1217; 8:12; 9:2; 16:10; Mt. 24:29-31; Isa. 13:10; Ezek. 32:7-8; Joel 2:31; 3:15; Acts 2:16-21).
