ISLAMIC AGENDA REMAINS UNCHANGED
It is time to give an
assessment of three Muslim elections, and how they affect the future of Israel.
The Islamic war continues against Israel. The consequences of the recent Hamas
landslide election victory will be significant. You will the find the
information to be sobering.
The Palestinian Arabs living in Israel voted overwhelmingly to be led by the
terrorist group, Hamas., whose call for Israel’s total destruction and the
murder of Jews certainly could not be misunderstood. Palestinian polls continue
to show substantial support for suicide bombings and the return to Israel of the
so-called refugees and their children and grandchildren—which would, or course,
end Israel as a Jewish state.
Hamas, as part of the global terrorist network that includes al-Qaeda and
Islamic Jihad, refuses to recognize Israel’s right to exist, renounce violence,
or fulfill any previous agreements between Israel and its Palestinian
adversaries. And while Hamas continues to seek to eradicate the Jewish State,
Israel continues to search for peaceful solutions.
Article 13 of the Hamas Charter: “There is no solution for the Palestinian
problem except by Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences
are but a waste of time, an exercise in futility.”
A direct quote from the official Hamas official website video, Feb. 2006: “My
message to the loathed Jews...We are a nation that drinks blood, and we know
that there is no blood better than the blood of Jews. We will not leave you
alone until we have quenched our thirst with your blood, and our children’s
thirst with your blood. We will not leave until you leave the Muslim countries.”
The new 24-member Palestinian cabinet, including 14 ministers who served time in
Israeli prisons, was endorsed by the Palestinian legislature, and is made up
entirely of Hamas members and independents allied to the terrorist Islamic
organization. Reflecting it fanatic Islamic ideology, Palestinian Foreign
Minister Mahmoud Zahar repeatedly rejects negotiation and declares the call of
eventually destroying Israel, stating, “there is no place for Israel on this
land.”
In kind, Palestinian Interior Minister Aid Siam, who is in charge of the police,
announced that Palestinian terrorists would no longer be arrested by the
Palestinian security forces, refusing to give even the lip service of his
predecessors. Moreover, he brazenly appointed the notorious Jamal Abu Samhadana,
a wanted Hamas terrorist, as director general of the Palestinian Interior
Ministry and the police forces. Yes—they put terrorists in charge of security!
This increasing level of extreme ideology adopted by the new Palestinian
government has sent an unmistakable message: The Arabs themselves voted to renew
their call for Israel’s elimination.
While the United States and the European Union have said they will halt direct
aid to the PA unless Hamas renounces violence, recognizes Israel, and commits to
the peace process, efforts are ongoing to somehow redirect those funds which
Israel and other countries have been giving to the Palestinians—a notion that
has found growing support. Yes, hundreds of millions of dollars that were given
to the Palestinians were used to bring the fanatical Hamas to power.
The Palestinian people chose to bring this alarming change in their government.
This brings a revelation of the Muslim mentality in this part of the world. It
also reveals that Israel must face even greater risks in the days ahead.
Article 7 of the Hamas Charter: “The Day of Judgment will not come about until
Muslims fight Jews and kill them. Then, the Jews will hide behind rocks and
trees, and the rocks and trees will cry out: ’O Muslim, there is a Jew hiding
behind me, come and kill him.’”
With a covenant that calls for the destruction of Israel and the wholesale
murder of all Jews, Hamas has murdered nearly 500 Jews and maimed thousands of
others in scores of suicide bombings and hundreds of other acts of terror.
Unreformed, it now seeks to gain international recognition following its
“democratic” parliamentary election victory.
But the concern is much greater than just Hamas.
This Hamas-led Palestinian government presents a twin threat—even more ominous
to Israel’s security than before. This terrorist government is certain to
provide an open door for Iran—which elected a president who also has called for
the destruction of Israel! Iran’s president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called for help
from other Muslim countries “To wipe Israel off the map.”
The terrorist Jihad connection between Iran and Hamas is well known. Iranian
President Ahmadinejad is Hamas’ strongest ally. He has been quite brazen in
developing nuclear weapons technology that could supply weapons that will
threaten the very heart of Israel and the whole world. It is definite that Iran
is building secret nuclear plants. Imagine suitcase nuclear bombs in the hands
of Hamas or their counterparts! We cannot allow this to happen.
We cannot—and must not—remain indifferent!
